If you are a Disney fan, you’re probably familiar with Disney Springs™. This diverse marketplace features a wide range of fun things to do throughout the year. From luxury bowling and a virtual reality playscape, to live concerts, exceptional shopping and even hot air balloon rides, it’s truly an attraction in itself. Of course, all these activities tend to make visitors hungry and — not to worry — in true Disney form, there’s plenty of amazing restaurants and eateries to choose from.
Now, there’s even more reason to get excited — three new high-end dining spots are slated to open by the end of 2017!
1) Wine Bar George
Opening: Fall 2017
Top Features: 100+ Wines from Established & Upcoming vineyards | Sharable Plates | Fun & Educational Events
Modeled to look like a beautiful 6,000-square-foot estate and developed with world-renowned master Sommelier George Miliotes, this classy wine bar will offer much more than just another night out. Featuring a varietal vintage for any palate, the hand-picked menu will be complemented by highly-sharable artisan cheeses and meats based on the season, making it the perfect excuse to visit a few times a year!
2) Terralina Crafted Italian
Opening: Fall 2017
Top Features: Italian Home-Style Fare | Open Kitchen | Verdana Outdoor Bar
This waterfront dining spot is poised to transport guests from the shores of one of Orlando’s most beloved lakes all the way to the heart of Italy’s Lake District — through food. Replacing Portabello Country Italian Trattoria, the “new” concept will keep its best chefs and several of the most popular menu items even after a multi-million dollar renovation. New additions will include soon-to-be-classics, like artisan pizzas, pork chops, seafood and an emphasis on items cooked in the large, wood-burning oven.
3) The Edison
Opening: Late Fall 2017
Top Features: American Cuisine| Craft Cocktails | Unique Live Entertainment
The Edison, an unexpected restaurant-lounge concept, will provide a step back in time, embodying the imagination and intrigue of the 1920s. Like its steampunk sister location in Los Angeles, the Orlando version is expected to take the shape of an Old World electric company, with dimmed lighting and cozy interiors. Perhaps its biggest draw will be the unusual live cabaret entertainment, such as dancers, contortionists, aerialists and more!
Coming in 2018: Wolfgang Puck & Jaleo
As if all these new additions aren’t enough, there’s even more in store for Disney Springs™ in 2018. Located in the Town Center area, Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill will feature an elegant approach to farmhouse dining and Mediterranean comfort food. It will carry much of the same California-style look and feel as the flagship location in LA, as well as many of the same dishes. Specialty adult beverages are sure to be a big hit, too! Finally, Jaleo — a highly-anticipated tapas concept featuring Spanish items by Chef José Andrés — will also join the line-up.
