Things To Do During the Holiday Season at Encore Resort
The holidays are here at Encore Resort at Reunion, and you’re invited to take part in the most fantastic events of the season! And there is no better way to begin than by stretching your legs at The Encore Turkey Trot 5K Walk/Run.
On Thursday, November 28th, you, your family, and all of your friends will have a blast kicking off Thanksgiving morning by getting a move on it. All you have to do is register at 8:00 a.m. at the Clubhouse and get ready to run at 9:00 a.m. Registering is only $10 per person, and children under 5 get to join in the fun for free.
There will be prizes available for the top 3 competitors, but everybody is a winner when you get your trot on, because on average, 100 calories are burned for every mile! That makes the day’s upcoming feasting and indulgences taste just that much better.
Best of all, your Thanksgiving dinner can be delivered right to your door so there’s no skimping on family time while being stuck at the stove. When you choose to order your holiday meal through Encore Resort, you can customize your order time to suit an early lunchtime spread, a dinnertime feast, or something in between. Either way, savory sage stuffing, garlic Parmesan mashed potatoes with shallot and thyme gravy, delectable pumpkin pie, and more will be delivered hot, fresh, and ready to eat right at your accommodations. Don’t forget the star of the show – impeccably moist, oven roasted turkey breast that’s been sliced for you to make the perfect plate. The meal serves 6 so there’s plenty to go around.
Once Thanksgiving is all wrapped up, it’s time to look to December for the next grand events at Encore Resort, and Moms, this one is for you! On December 17th, you and your little one can get into the spirit of the season at our Mommy and Me Breakfast. Head over to Hang 10 Hideaway at 10:30 a.m. to create a cute craft together and then on to Finns Restaurant for a tasty breakfast. This special morning will create a memory between you and your child to enjoy for years to come. The breakfast is only $25 for you and your toddler-aged child, and $5 for each additional child.
The family fun doesn’t stop there. Your chance to meet your fitness goals between all the festivities has never been easier than when you stay at Encore Resort. Our Jingle Bell 5K Walk/Run gives you another chance to hit the pavement and make your way to the finish line. This family-friendly event begins with registering at the Clubhouse at 8:15 a.m. and taking off at 9:00 a.m. when you hear the sleigh bells ring! Participants 5 and up only pay $15, and the top three competitors will be awarded great prizes – a jumpstart on all of the great presents to come!
For those looking for a cozy activity to enjoy, Story Time with Mrs. Claus is the perfect evening event. Join Mrs. Claus on December 23rd, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., on the 2nd floor of the Clubhouse for many magical moments. Gather around to look, listen, laugh, and love at Mrs. Claus’ entertaining antics and enchanting storytelling. The event is free and comes complete with a cup of creamy, chocolaty hot cocoa and yummy cookies to enjoy. This will quickly become one of your family’s favorite moments of the holiday and is the best way to savor the season’s sweet treats and delightful occasions.
As Christmas Eve approaches, everyone wants to commemorate the holiday with a photo with Santa Claus! And the man in the big red suit just so happens to be making an appearance at Finns Restaurant on Tuesday, December 24th. Pop on over to Finns Restaurant for a delicious breakfast or lunch and stick around so your little ones can meet Santa and bask in holiday cheer. Meeting Santa is free of charge too!
But is it possible to make Christmas Eve even more magical? At Encore Resort, it is! Make a reservation for our Elf Tuck-Ins on Tuesday, December 24th, and watch in delight as one of Santa’s elves stops by for a visit. Your new friend will read your children a Christmas story, deliver a special gift, and give you a chance for to keep this holiday memory forever in photos. Each visit lasts about 10 minutes and costs $55 for the first child and $25 per additional child, plus tax and gratuity. This fantastic event is popular, and space is limited so be sure to reserve your spot soon.
Gathering around and sharing a meal doesn’t have to be stressful this season! You can be the holiday hero and make reservations for your Christmas dinner to be delivered right to your door! Options for delivery are available both on Tuesday, December 24th and Wednesday, December 25th, and each meal feeds about 6 people. You will dine on a succulent ½ honey roasted pit ham, creamy green bean casserole, garlic Parmesan mashed potatoes with gravy, a seasonal vegetable medley, and scrumptious dinner rolls served with butter. Be sure to save room for the pecan pie dessert!
When all is said and done with Christmas, you know it’s time to ring in the New Year! Finish out the holiday season strong when you join us for the best party in town at our Clubhouse on December 31st from 8:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. Tickets are only $85 for adults and $25 for children, ages 3 to 12.
Your tickets include access to the Clubhouse where a live DJ will be blasting all of your favorites, and party favors will be given to everyone. An incredible dinner buffet is also included, with tantalizing options like salmon with caper and garlic cream sauce, green beans almandine, and a fresh winter salad of goat cheese, Cremini mushrooms, beets, and more. A fabulous carving station will also be open, where you can select your cut of our herb crusted prime rib served with a red wine au jus and a horseradish cream sauce. Assorted desserts and a midnight toast will be served as well, and a bar package will be available for $60 per person.
We want the whole family to have fun too! So there’s a special kid’s party at our kid’s club going on that evening as well. Your children will play games, create crafts, and enjoy this special event that’s all their own.
