Action-Packed Adventure at Orlando Watersports Complex
From near and far, visitors are drawn to Orlando Watersports Complex, where riders are pulled around the lake with the use of cables! If you’re looking for a fun day on the water, explore the action-packed adventures at OWC, which offers wakeboarding, water skiing, wake skating, knee boarding and paddle boarding for water enthusiasts of all ages and skill levels. OWC is fun for the whole family!
This Central Florida wake park happens to be one of the most visited in the world and has two full-size cable systems, a two-tower system and a boat lake, which offers an incomparable experience for water sport devotees.
OWC for the Beginner
Heads up. You will fall… and join the ranks of every single person before you. It’s fun, it’s freeing, it’s easy to get right back up again. At OWC, beginners are welcome to try any watersports, using either the cable systems or giving it a go behind the boat.
Schedule a lesson with Shaun Murray. Yes, THE Shaun Murray, professional wakeboarder extraordinaire. He’ll take you behind OWC’s Super Air Nautique G23 or guide you through the cable system. For the first timer, we can honestly say there is no better experience than the “Get Up Guarantee” class. A few things to note:
- All participants must watch the safety video and fill out the Liability Release Waiver
- Participants under 18 years old must have a parent or legal guardian present to fill out the waiver (if parent/legal guardian is not present, waiver must be filled out and notarized ahead of time)
- Children under the age of 10 are required to take a mandatory safety lesson before their adventures begin ($59)
Been There, Done That
If you are a board sport enthusiast, you will love OWC’s overhead cable ski system. Bring your own equipment to ride or rent from OWC’s large selection of rental equipment. For northerners who prefer the white powder, you may just find this experience similar to snowboarding in deep snow. One thing to note – reservations are not required. Show up, sign up, board. Ride alone or with friends.
OWC Aquapark
Inspired by LEGO blocks, OWC’s Aquapark features a modular series of interlocking climbing obstacles, pathways and slides. Plan a family fun day as there is something for everyone – all ages and skill levels. Fun things to try are the XXL climbing tower, balance beam, monkey bars and rodeo slide, among many others. A few things to note:
- Children must be at least 6 years old to participate and at least 3’7” tall
- No matter how old you are, you must be able to swim
- Life vests are required (and provided)
- Waivers and safety briefings are required
- Absolutely no jewelry, rings, necklaces, piercings, glasses, etc.
Paddle Boarding
OWC also offers stand up paddle boarding. Whether you’re an expert paddler or looking to try it for the first time, OWC’s SUP coaches will have you out on the water paddle boarding like a pro in no time. The paddle boarding area is separate from the boarding areas.
Pro Shop, Snack Bar and OWC Happenings
The top-notch pro shop at OWC offers the best of the best in boarding equipment, including the newest Hyperlite gear. While you’re visiting OWC, grab a bite to eat at their snack bar and chill out at the beach area in their hammocks and lounge chairs.
Did you know…OWC plays host to many of the industry’s largest events, including the Pro Tour Stops, Wake Games, Monster Triple Crown and the National Points Chase Finals. Stay up-to-date on the OWC happenings on their Facebook page.
