You’ve found the love of your life and even have the ring, the date and the venue to prove it! But before the wedding bells can officially chime, you need one fantastic adventure with all your favorite ladies. And what could be better than a girls’ trip to “The Happiest Place on Earth?” We totally agree!
Before you hit the road, make sure you’re ready to maximize your enjoyment with these eight Disney bachelorette party ideas:
1) Order matching shirts online from Etsy.
Everyone in Orlando knows that etsy.com is the place to go for all your “bride tribe” gear! From V-necks with the famous mouse ears, to tanks with your favorite princesses, the individuals behind the virtual shops of this popular site are sure to have something your whole group will love to wear, even long after your visit. (Just be sure to order them well in advance to make sure your gear arrives on time.)
Bonus: Pick up some bridal-themed Minnie Mouse ears at the parks’ souvenir shops — you can even get a pair of Mickey ears embroidered for your groom back home!
2) Splurge on Park Hopper Passes.
With so much to do, and so many different personalities in your posse, you’re probably not going to want to stick to just one park. Give your girls a reason to brag by purchasing multi-park tickets and doing a little bit of each one over the course of a weekend or a few days! (If you must choose only one, make it The Magic Kingdom or Epcot — then hit the admission-free Disney Springs area to experience a variety of boutiques, bars and entertainment.)
3) Meet the princesses and princes at Magic Kingdom.
Of course, you’ll need to get that perfect keepsake shot of everyone together in front of the iconic Cinderella Castle. But you may also want to plan a stop by Fantasyland for some fun and photos with Disney royalty who are sure to offer plenty of congratulations and be thrilled to chat about their own weddings. Finally, swing by Gaston at Gaston’s Tavern for a few laughs — he’s quite full of himself and may even try to convince you to marry him instead!
4) Enjoy a variety of cocktails, wine and beer.
You were waiting for this one, weren’t you? Here are our top picks for grabbing an adult beverage at each park. Bonus: Consider putting your own twist on it by making a scavenger hunt to find and visit them all!
-
- Epcot: The Biergarten (Although it’s also possible to “drink around the world” at the World Showcase for a unique Walt Disney World experience!)
- Disney’s Animal Kingdom: Nomad Lounge at Tiffin’s Restaurant
- Hollywood Studios: Tune-In Lounge at 50’s Prime Time Café
- Magic Kingdom: Jungle Navigation Co. Ltd. Skipper Canteen at Adventureland
- Disney Springs: Amorette’s Patisserie (Try the wine slushies!) or Wine Bar George (Planned to open in 2018)
Bonus: For a fun spin, try a “Monorail Crawl” by taking the monorail loop (free to ride) to each of the famous Disney resorts and stopping into their upscale bars!
5) Indulge in a mobile spa visit.
What’s a girls’ weekend without some real relaxation? If you stay at Encore Resort at Reunion, ask the concierge team to schedule some spa services. You can get massages, facials, manicures and pedicures pool-side from the comfort of your vacation home. This is head-to-toe rejuvenation, Disney style!
6) Dine with Belle or Cinderella for a once-in-a-lifetime dinner.
The Be Our Guest Restaurant features a fun, group-oriented atmosphere, while the character dining experience of Cinderella’s Table can’t be beat! And although Magic Kingdom is still the most “dry” of all the parks, both do pair adult beverages with your meal.
Bonus: Try doing one dinner at Disney, then venturing off-site to either The Sugar Factory, B.B. King’s Blues Club, Mango’s Tropical Cafe or Taverna Opa at Pointe Orlando for subsequent evening meals.
7) End the night with fireworks.
Whether captured by video, boomerang or a simple photo, the fireworks at any of the Walt Disney World Resort parks are guaranteed to be one of the most social media-worthy moments of your trip! Just make sure your cell phone has enough charge left for the finale.
8) Rent a vacation home.
Whether your group consists of five or fifteen of your closest lady friends, everyone is going to want to be able to spread out in comfort at the end of your day(s) at the parks. That’s where Encore Resort at Reunion comes in. Our upscale rental homes feature between four and 13 bedrooms, and include access to luxury amenities, like an on-site restaurant, free shuttle to Disney and other parks and a world-class AquaPark with an adult pool and VIP cabanas.
