If you need a few good reasons to travel to Orlando this fall, you’ve come to the right place. At Encore Resort at Reunion, our team knows a thing or two about breaking out of the routine. Luckily for us, we’re already located in a top tourist destination less than 20 minutes from some of the world’s most beloved theme parks. But for our future guests, we understand it can be hard to get away in November. Fear not! We’ve got you covered:
1) Experience some of the best weather in the country.
Orlando’s fall season really begins at the end of October when temperatures start to dip into the mid-to-lower-80’s. By visiting in November, you’ll be able to spend all day at the parks and really maximize time on your favorite outdoor rides. Of course, we still recommend packing plenty of water and sunscreen, but you’ll find you have much more energy left halfway a November afternoon than a June one!
2) Catch the final days of The International Food & Wine Festival at Epcot™.
Not enough room in your budget to travel the world sampling the finest cuisine? This is the next best thing! One of Orlando’s most popular annual events, The International Food & Wine Festival lasts through November 13th and features 35 Global Marketplaces, each with its own extensive selection of treats. Special venues feature live entertainment, while others honor particular ingredients like cheese, chocolate, almond milk and more. Come taste your way around the globe!
3) Travel while other people are stuck at home.
Are you looking for the least-crowded time to visit? With schools in session during the first few weeks and the majority of travelers visiting family during the last few days, November is one of our only (relatively) slow seasons. This means that you’ll notice a difference on weekdays, from the airport to the theme parks. Need proof? Explore this crowd calendar.
4) Make a few more splashes before winter arrives!
November in your home town may be too chilly to keep your swimsuit anywhere except a drawer, but here in Florida there’s still a pretty good chance you’ll want it during your fall vacation. Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park will remain open this year throughout November, featuring heated water flowing for the majority of its slides, pools, lazy rivers, rapids and more!
5) Complete the runDisney Coast to Coast Race Challenge.
If you’ve already participated in one of the 2017 marathons at California’s Disneyland® Resort, seize this opportunity to run the Epcot™ Wine & Dine Half Marathon on Sunday, November 5th. Not only will the beautiful weather set you up for your personal best time, but you’ll earn a special Coast to Coast Race Challenge medal. Afterwards, join fellow runners at the International Food & Wine Festival for a post-race party like no other!
